Empowering pupils as ICT Champions in your school
What are they?
Digital Leaders are a fantastic resource for any school to have. They are a select group of creative and innovative pupils who help lead learning and teaching across school by assisting staff and their peers.
It is no secret that in the use of technology in everyday life, pupils are very knowledgeable and always have new and innovative apps and hardware at their fingertips. A Digital Leader is a pupil in a school who possesses this knowledge and is able to apply the use of the iPad across a wide range of areas within a school. They work with the management team in a school to ensure that there is support for teachers, pupils, parents and the wider community in using technology in a positive way to enhance learning and teaching.
What is the Digital Leaders program?
Who can sign up ?
At present any primary school across the UK can sign up to the initiative. We will be launching a Digital Citizen initiative for post primary later in 2024.
what costs are involved for my school ?
You simply pay for the school pack that includes all of the resources and goodies needed to appoint 10 Digital Leaders in your school. Packs cost just £99 per school. Additional pack items can be ordered separately.
WHAT resources do we get access to ?
When you order your pack, your school will get access to the downloadable assets such as recruitment posters, assembly videos, slide deck and interview questions. Additional resources will be made available within the Digital Leaders microsite.
Can we order additional packs ?
Yes, we would recommend that you migrate to Apple School Manager to access unlimited storage for each Managed Apple ID. This is free to each school, we can help you through this process to make it painless. Please contact us to request this.
What's next after we receive our packs ?
Your school can use the set template and resources available in the initial pack and tailor how you roll out and extend the initiative in your school. We can support your school with additional activities such as hosting assemblies, creating additional resources with our design team or consulting with your school on what next steps you should take.
what future plans are there ?
Over the next year we plan to launch learning pathways for pupils that will focus on core apps and software that are used in classrooms across the country.
We’ll also be launching our Digital Safety initiative aimed at 7 – 16 year olds.
